Election Day is May 13 this year, so those not yet registered to vote should do so.

Early voting by mail for elections begins 35 days prior to an election (April 7), while early voting in person begins 30 days prior to the election (April 12).

Mail-in voter registrations must be postmarked by April 25.

Voter registration closes at motor vehicle offices and state agencies April 25.

In-person voter registration at County Election offices, such as the Chase County Clerk’s office, ends at 6 p.m. MT May 2. This includes registration changes such as updating an address.

Registered voters can make requests until 4 p.m. MT on May 7 for early voting ballots to be mailed. The day before the election is the deadline for in-person early voting at County Election offices.

On Election Day, May 13, the deadline for all early voting ballots to be returned to the County Election office is 7 p.m. MT.

Chase County Clerk Debbie Clark said any registered voter may cast an early voting ballot.

For more information contact the Chase County Clerk’s office at (308) 882-7500 or the Secretary of State’s office at (402) 471-2555.
