Wow! What an awesome two days for the Wauneta-Palisade One-Act Play Production students.

On Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the Gothenburg Play Production Invitational, WP received first place among 12 schools! Landon Jutten was awarded the Best Actor Award at the contest. Hayden Pollmann received the Best Supporting Actor Award, Christi Christner the Best Supporting Actress Award and Cameo Rector, Nicole Strand and Lesley Towery received Outstanding Actress Awards.

On Wednesday, Nov. 20 WP performed at the RPAC One-Act Play Production hosted by Southwest High School in Bartley. The team placed second among eight schools! For a second day in a row Jutten received the Best Actor Award. Christner, Stephanie Acosta and Hannah Nordhausen were awarded Outstanding Actress Awards and Pollmann was awarded Outstanding Actor Award.

These kids have worked really hard and it shows by their awards. This is quite an achievement, especially for Jutten. Among 20 schools, in two consecutive days, he received back-to-back Best Actor Awards. What an honor for Landon and our One Act team.

Please come and see this hilarious comedy titled, “How to Kiss a Girl” by Wade Bradford at the District competition which will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3 in the WP gym.
