Wauneta Chamber President Sheri Hink-Wagner, left, announced Tuesday that Dave Hamilton, center, has been selected as the winner of the Customer Service Person of the Year Award. Dave received words of praise for the work he does at Frenchman Auto. “Dave is always quick to lend a hand and help me out with any of my automotive needs–and he does so with a smile every time,” read a submitted nomination for the Chamber-sponsored contest.
Prizes contributed by Wauneta Chamber businesses which accompanied the award included:
Ice Cream Bowl set from Valley Bank and Trust, Co., $25.00 in Chamber Bucks from the Wauneta Chamber, a large pizza from Good Times Bar, a free ring of homemade bologna from Walgren’s, a free car wash from Harchelroad Motors, a candy bouquet from Roonie’s, a $25.00 gift certificate from Wauneta Crossroads, a flour gift package from Wauneta Roller Mills, a Bronco sweatshirt from Susie’s Creative Stitches, a key chain from Country Clipper, a one-year subscription from The Wauneta Breeze, a rain gauge, gloves and hat from HomeTown Agency and a car care kit from Advanced Auto.
Other nominees for the award included Angie West and Kent Buffington. Chamber representatives reported this year’s nominations resulted in a tie between the three nominees. Hamilton was chosen by Chamber representatives by going through all of the nominations for the past four years of the contest. Dave was chosen as the winner due to having the most number of historical votes.
