The Wauneta-Palisade Broncos volleyball team will host Hayes Center and Dundy County-Stratton to start the RPAC Volleyball Tournament.
The Broncos earned the top seed in the West Bracket with a 14-3 record.
W-P has defeated Hayes Center (7-10) twice this season but lost to Dundy County-Stratton (8-12) in five sets Oct. 3.
As the two seed in the West, Paxton (13-6) will host Wallace (9-5), Maywood (7-12) and Htichcock County (0-19).
All first and second round games will be played Monday, Oct. 21.
Bertrand is the overall number one seed in the tournament. The Vikings are 20-0 and ranked number one in Class D2 by the Omaha World Herald.
Bertrand will likely have to go through Class D1 number five Southwest (16-6) to get to the championship game.
Hitchcock County will host the semifinal, consolation and final matches of the tournament Tuesday, Oct. 22.
Broncos to host Pink Out
With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, Wauneta-Palisade will be doing its part by hosting a “PINK OUT” Monday, Oct. 21. The Broncos will be hosting the first round of the RPAC volleyball tournament.
In an effort to remind women to schedule their yearly mammogram, fans from W-P, Hayes Center and Dundy County-Stratton are encouraged to wear pink. A prize will be given to the fan with the best pink outfit.
