Some would say summer is about celebrations, and those in the market for a great celebration and a good time might want to set their sights on Palisade for next weekend.
The annual Palisade Pioneer Days celebration will be held June 7, 8 and 9 in Palisade.
The excitement will kick off on Friday, June 7 with a spaghetti supper followed by a kids mystery hunt and lawn chair volleyball at Krotter Park.
Things start early Saturday morning, June 8 with a 3K/5K Walk/Run sponsored by the W-P Cheerleaders.
Other activities on Saturday morning include the Firemen’s breakfast, parade, dime toss, kiddy carnival, cake walk, pie your cheerleader and luncheon.
Saturday afternoon there will be a photography contest, sand volleyball, lunch, bingo, free swimming, horseshoes and a free photo booth, weather permitting.
Saturday evening there is a free barbeque at the park followed by pie and ice cream.
Saturday’s activities will round out with a DJ dance at the park.
Sunday the festivities continue with a morning worship celebration at the park, a pot luck dinner and sundaes at the Auxiliary Hall.
