Wauneta’s adventure through 125 years continues this week with the third addition commemorating the Breeze’s anniversary.
Covered in this week’s edition are the 1940s and 1950s, including the service of Wauneta’s men in World War II and the Korean War.
The effects of weather are remembered with tales of major floods and snow falls.
Area businesses such as Berry’s soda fountain and the Chateau Theatre are included with stories of the establishment of the Riverside Cemetery and the many of doctors who have made their way through the community.
Two more editions will be available over the next weeks, wrapping up the special sections by the end of May.
The editions will be available for sale as a group. Those interested may contact the Breeze to reserve their keepsake.
