Heading into district D-4 wrestling tomorrow, wrestler Gage Crowell traveled to Southwest last week for his final regular season meet. Crowell opened the meet with a loss to Grant Gilliam of the Oberlin JV team. In Crowell’s second match he faced Dundy County-Stratton’s Marcus Fox. “Gage was able to get a quick takedown and ride him out in the first period,” said coach Chad Cochran. “Next period, Gage went for a takedown and got caught and ended up on his back which resulted in a pin.” Now 13-16 on the season, Crowell will compete in the 17-team district. Teams competing are Banner County, Bayard, Crawford, Creek Valley, Garden County, Hay Springs, Hemingford, Hitchcock County, Hyannis, Minatare, Morrill, Mullen, Perkins County, SMC, Sioux County and Sutherland. |
