The Wauneta Breeze
The Wauneta Breeze is celebrating its 125th anniversary during 2012. The celebration will culminate with a special 125 Anniversary Edition which will come out later this year.
Former managing editor, Tina Kitt, has taken the lead on the 125 edition.
Long-time Breeze readers may remember the Breeze’s centennial edition which was published in 1987.
Like the centennial edition, the 125th anniversary edition will highlight news from the past 125 years.
It will feature photographs from the past 125 years and provide a snapshot of the Wauneta area in 2012 as well as its history.
The 125th anniversary edition will also feature ads by local businesses that highlight their histories in the community. Families also have the opportunity to purchase ads to commemorate their individual histories in the community.
125 is just the beginning
The Breeze’s coverage of the Wauneta-area’s news will not stop after the 125th anniversary edition.
Breeze publishers, Lori and Russ Pankonin, and staff members are committed to covering the area’s news for many years to come.
In fact, the Breeze is anxious to see what the next 25 years will bring.
