Nearly 180 Wauneta and Wauneta-Palisade alumni members got reacquainted Saturday night at the annual alumni banquet.
The meal was catered by the Dutch Oven Smokehouse and Steak Company of Haxtun, Colo.
The class of 1997 hosted the event, which was held at the gymnasium at the Wauneta Attendance Center.
Allison Sandman with the Wauneta-Palisade school board provided tours of the school prior to the banquet.
Robert Miller of Omaha (Class of 1997) served as master of ceremonies and Dixi Travis Wellman (class of 1997) gave the invocation.
Christine Nordhausen Clevenger, also from the class of 1997, assisted with the banquet.
The class of 1952 had the largest turnout amongst the honor classes with 16 classmates in attendance. The classmates from 1952 traveled from as far away as Arizona and California to celebrate their 60 year reunion in Wauneta.
The class of 1962 was runner-up with 13 members present.
