The Wauneta Breeze
Wauneta-Palisade seniors Brett Klima and Melinda Stretch have been presented Bronze Medals for their results in the ACT test.
Annually, the Republican Plains Activity Conference recognizes all seniors in the membership that have scored a 24 or above composite score on their ACT.
Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded in the corresponding levels:
Bronze Medals are awarded to a student achieving a score of 24, 25 or 26.
Silver Medals are awarded to a student achieving a score of 27 or 28.
Gold Medal are awarded to a student achieving a score of 29 or above.
Additionally, an individual plaque is awarded to the top overall ACT score achieved by a member school student. If more than one student has attained the top score, a plaque is awarded to all students posting that score.
The ACT consists of tests in English, math, reading and science. Each test is scored on a scale of 1-36. A student's composite score is the average of the four scores.
Klima is the son of Darrel and Sharla Klima, and Stretch is the daughter of Cheryl Stretch and Les Stretch.
Fourteen students received gold medals and 12 were awarded silver medals. Forty-four bronze medals were awarded.
