|W-P students participate in Inter-High Day|

More than 400 students from area high schools, 20 from Wauneta-Palisade, were on the McCook Community College campus Wednesday to compete in the annual Inter-High Day academic competition.
At the contest students tested their knowledge in 25 subjects.
Three W-P students placed third in their subject areas: Hannah Nordhausen in algebra 1, Hayden Pollmann in geometry and Donald Hunt in welding.
Students that place in their subject matter receive a certificate good for a free college course at MPCC during the summer. Those who place first receive a $500 scholarship.
There was be another Inter-High Day competition in North Platte yesterday. Twenty-three W-P students planned to make the trip to compete in North Platte.
“Inter-High Days are fun and exciting,” says K-12 guidance counsellor Shari Goodenberger.
