The Wauneta-Palisade girls basketball team wrapped up its participation in the RPAC Tournament with a 52-51 upset of West number two seed Dundy Co.-Stratton in Paxton Thursday.
The Lady Broncos led 38-32 at the end of the third quarter.
Dundy Co.-Stratton outscored Wauneta-Palisade by five in the final quarter to make it nip-and-tuck at the end.
Tailor Lee and Sheyla Christner both finished in double figures. Lee notched a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Lee also had four assists.
Christner scored ten points. Brooklyn Nordhausen and Abbie Fanning each scored eight points. Fanning led the team with five assists.
Emma Skelton scored six points on two three-pointers. Sydnee Harchelroad also hit a three-pointer and finished with three points. Cassidy Rathe rounded out scoring with two points.
The Lady Broncos hit eight-of-13 from the charity stripe.
The Lady Tigers were led by Morgan Jones with 17 points. Faith Stroup scored 12 points.
Now 9-8, Wauneta-Palisade will host Medicine Valley Thursday and travel to Sutherland on Friday.
