The Wauneta-Palisade volleyball team took their record to 5-13 ahead of next week’s RPAC conference tournament, posting a win against Maywood (3-17) last week while suffering losses to Dundy County-Stratton (11-9) and Brady (18-2).
In triangular play Thursday in Maywood, the Broncs defeated the hosting Tiger squad 25-22, 21-25, 25-16.
Brooklyn Nordhausen led the assault with six kills in 15 attacks.
Against DCS at the Maywood triangular the Broncs fell 15-25, 15-25.
On Friday night the Broncs fell to Brady 14-25, 12-25, 15-25.
Sydnee Harchelroad led the team with four kills and with seven points from the serving line including one ace.
In jayvee action at Brady Friday the Broncos dropped a close match, falling to the Eagles 11-25, 25-19, 19-25.

RPAC action next week
With the split in wins the Broncs carry a 5-13 record with them to opening round of the RPAC tournament Monday night, where WP enters as the No. 6 seed in the west division ahead of Maywood.
In their opening match, slated for 5:30 p.m. CT in Trenton, they will get another shot at the DCS Tigers. The winner of that game will play the winner of the Maywood/Hitchcock County contest at 7 p.m.
Paxton enters the tourney as the top seed with an 18-0 record, with Hitchcock County (17-0) seeded No. 2 and DCS pegged as the third seeded team in the west division. In the RPAC east division Bertrand (18-1) is the top seed, followed by Southwest (14-7) and Alma (10-5). The winners of the east and west divisions will face-off Tuesday in Maywood.
