Ashley Kitt receives her certificate of admission to practice law in the State of Nebraska from Nebraska Supreme Court Chief Justice Mike Heavican.
Ashley Kitt of Central City was sworn in as a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association on Sept. 20 during a ceremony held in the Rotunda of the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln.
Kitt, a 2004 graduate of Wauneta-Palisade High School, graduated from the Nebraska College of Law in Lincoln in May and passed her Nebraska Bar Exam this summer.
She earned her undergraduate degree at Chadron State College where she graduated with honors in 2008.
Kitt is employed with Svehla, Thomas, Rauert and Grafton P.C., with law offices in York, Seward and Aurora.
Kitt is the daughter of Keenan and Tina Kitt of Wauneta and the granddaughter of Joan Kitt of Wauneta, Sandra Brunkhorst of Trenton and Jim and Terri Stovern of Wolf Point, Mont.
In attendance during the swearing in ceremony were Kitt’s fiance Dave Spahn of Central City, Tina Kitt, Sandra Brunkhorst and cousin Janice Heim of Lincoln.
