As I drive to and from work there is a Welcome to Wauneta sign located on the south side of the highway that was built several years ago.

My question is why can’t it be relocated to the north side of highway by the truck parking area, so that people passing by on the highway east bound or west bound could see it with no problem.

The way its now unless you happen to look at the right time you never see it, as the building to the east of it and all the trees that have come up around it keep it hidden.

Maybe if it was where people could see it, they might decide to stop and see what our main street has to offer and take time to spend some money in our town.

This is something I have thought about for a while and hope some other people express some thoughts on this.

This could be a project some keno funds could perhaps used for.
