Co-ed softball league action is underway Monday nights in Imperial and Wauneta

The coed softball season is about to wind down.

League coordinator Denise Smith of Imperial said after makeup games were played Tuesday of this week (from June 20 rain-outs), the final regular season games will be Monday, July 25, in Imperial and Wauneta.

This year, 12 coed teams are competing in the league. Three games each Monday since the first of June have been played in Imperial and Wauneta.

The end-of-the-season league tournament will be played Aug. 1-3 in Imperial and Wauneta. A bracket of the tournament will be in next week’s newspapers.

July 18 scores

Prestige over Lighthouse Young Guns 17-7.

No Docs over Lighthouse Muskets 21-5.

Alex Strand’s over Holiday Farms 23-7.

Fanning over Pivot 12-11.

Kitt over Sis 21-2.

Wauneta Crossroads over Brian Strand’s 10-9.


Wau-Pal football camp rescheduled

The WP football camp, which was set for this week, has been moved to next week. High school students interested in playing Bronco football next year should make sure not to miss next week’s series of camps, run by new Bronco Head Coach Justin Bernhardt. The camp is set to be held Monday-Friday next week. Start time is 6 p.m. MT/7 p.m. CT each night. Those interested in playing should be sure to be in attendance. Players and coache wil meet at the WAC gymnasium.
