The Wauneta swimming pool is open and according to the energetic clientele there the water is just right. It might not officially be summer yet, but the weather outside might make you think differently. With temperatures already approaching triple digits, several kids from around Wauneta decided to beat the heat at the Wauneta pool which opened last week. Among those youngsters taking a headlong jump into summer at the pool included, above from left, Dalton Harchelroad, Caid Doetker and Joel Maris. At back, Dennis Cavanaugh and Duncan Rector head out for the other end of the pool. (Taylor Lutz | The Wauneta Breeze)
