Co-ed softball league action is underway Monday nights in Imperial and Wauneta

Game times in Wauneta are 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. MT., and will run through the end of July (excluding July 4). This year’s tournament is scheduled for Aug. 1-2.

Sports physicals conducted at Wauneta Clinic Tuesday

Wauneta-Palisade student athletes are invited to the Chase County Clinic in Wauneta on Tuesday, June 14, beginning at 6 p.m. MT/7 p.m. CT, for $20 athletic physicals. The school and clinic are requesting student athletes bring with them the physical form, filled out, which they took home from school. If you don’t have a form, you can pick one up from the Wauneta Attendance Center.

 

4th, 5th, 6th grade baseball team off to hot start

The Wau-Pal 4th, 5th and 6th grade baseball team is off to a 2-1 start, after winning a pair of extra-inning games. The Broncos beat Atwood 9-8 on June 1, in 7 innings, then knocked them off again Monday night, 15-12 in 9 innings. Their only loss came last Friday night, 5-0 to St. Francis. Next up for the boys is a trip to Benkelman tomorrow (Friday), scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. MT/7:30 p.m. CT.

 

Check out vintage cars as they pass down Highway 6 on Sunday

Vintage cars from the Nebraska Rod and Custom Association’s ‘Tour Nebraska’ will pass through Wauneta as they cruise east on Highway 6 this Sunday, between approximately 9 and 9:30 a.m. MT.

 

Pool season is officially here

Regular pool hours are as follows: Monday through Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. MT and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m. MT; mornings Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. MT for lap swimming; afternoons Monday through Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. for water aerobics. Night swimming is offered every week on Wednesday nights from 7 to 9 p.m. MT. Admission rates for the pool are $3 daily for adults and children.
