The co-ed softball league including Imperial and Wauneta teams will see an increase in participation this summer.

League coordinator Denise Smith of Imperial said 12 teams have registered for this year’s season, up from 10 last summer.

Games will get underway Monday, June 6, at 7, 8 and 9 p.m. at Imperial’s Schroeder Park, and at 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. in Wauneta.

Smith noted this year’s schedule will allow the three Wauneta teams to play all of their regular season games in Wauneta. Three Imperial teams will travel to Wauneta each week.

Games will be held every Monday night through the end of July, except for July 4.

The tournament is set for Aug. 1-2, with first round games in Imperial and Wauneta. The finals will be in Imperial.

Smith said team registration is closed for this year’s league.
