Brothers Grimm fairy tales were relived last weekend when Wauneta-Palisade students performed ‘Into the Woods, Jr.’ for this year’s high school musical. Shown at the Wauneta gymnasium on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the musical intertwines several classic children’s narratives, such as ‘Cinderella’, ‘Rapunzel’ and ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. The musical, directed by WP music teachers Aaron and Sara Behrends, brought large crowds at each of its three showings. (Wauneta Breeze Photos | Josh Sumner)
Wau-Pal actors Logan Bischoff, Jacob Maris, Alondra Almanza and Will Bartlett get into character during last Sunday’s performance of ‘Into the Woods, Jr.’. A cast of 26 WP students were assisted by their peers, teachers and parents in creating the props and costumes that brought the production to life.
Jenna Jutten and Chris Bartels pleased the crowd, starring as the Baker’s Wife and the Baker, respectively.
Sheyla Christner, Stephanie Brown and Jonee Maris played the roles of Cinderella’s family at last weekend’s high school musical performance of “Into the Woods, Jr.”
