Denkers take third in Senior 2-Man Scramble at Enders PDF Print E-mail

Ken Denker and Terry Denker, both of Wauneta, took third place in the Senior 2-Man Scramble held May 5 at the Enders Lake Golf Course with 21 teams at play. The Denkers carded a 70, two strokes back of Dave Auwerda and Cliff Brown of Ogallala who shot a 68 for the day. Another Ogallala team ended play at 69 to take second place.

Results of the tournament are as follows:


Championship Flight

1. Dave Auwerda and Cliff Brown, 33-35=68; 2. John Davis and Hop Elliott, 34-35=69; 3. Ken Denker and Terry Denker, 35-35=70.


First Flight

1. Butch Loring and Max McGarr, 37-33=70; 2. Mike Blecha and Roger Myers, 37-35=72; 3. (tie) Phil Hayes and Alan Jones, 38-36=74; Merrill Maris and Dee Fortkamp, 39-35=74.


Second Flight

1. Ron Sandman and Larry Stute, 42-35=77; 2. John Ewing and Lynn Twiss, 41-37=78; 3. Pete Lowe and Bob Kelsey, 42-40=82.
