High school basketball tomorrow (Friday)

The Broncos host Maywood in the final home basketball game of the year. A normal 3 p.m. MT/4 p.m. CT girls jayvee tip-off will get the action underway.


High school wrestling districts Friday, Feb.11 and Saturday, Feb. 12

The HC/WP wrestlers travel north to Valentine to compete in this year’s district tournament. Grapplers will dual for a chance to wrestle in the state tournament in Omaha, set for the following week.


Varsity girls basketball subdistricts Monday, Feb. 14 through Thursday, Feb. 17

The Lady Broncos travel to Imperial to begin play in the D2-10 Subdistrict. Pairings and times have not yet been released. Opponents in the subdistrict this year include Hayes Center, Hitchcock County, Paxton and Wallace.


High school wrestling state tourney Thursday, Feb.17 through Saturday, Feb. 19

Qualifiers from the HC/WP wrestling squad will compete for state gold when they head to Omaha to take on the state’s best. See next week’s issue of the Breeze to find out which grapplers made the cut.


High school basketball Friday, Feb. 18

It will be the guys’ night out when the Broncos travel to Dundy County-Stratton for a set of varsity and jayvee boys games. Junior varsity action tips off at 5 pm. MT/6 p.m. CT.

The WP junior varsity boys and girls basketball teams travel to Dundy County-Stratton for a jayvee tournament. See next week’s Breeze for times and pairings.
