The Wauneta-Palisade high school art classes have been working on recycling old books that no one uses anymore and turning them into something new.
The art teacher supplied books or you could bring your own. The reason behind making them was using your imagination and coming up with new ideas on how to design your own book; making something new out of an old piece of art.
The students took an old book and remade the outside cover. The inside pages were designed by the students as well.
The students were supposed to glue about 15 pages together to make the book flow better. The classes glued pictures of friends and family members too.
Some students dedicated their books to someone special. Students in the first, second and seventh hour art classes were involved in the project.
The books were started after Thanksgiving break and were due before Christmas break.
If students were unable to complete their book they finished them over the break.
