Palisade’s division of the Frenchman Valley Co-op currently has more grain than it does covered storage, but as manager Cathy Humphrey put it, “It’s a good problem to have.” The 2010 corn harvest has been one for the record books in Palisade. A whopping 2.8 million bushels have tipped the scales so far, with 2.1 million bushels being stored outside. The previous high-water mark for bushels weighed at FVC’s Palisade branch was set last year at 2.2 million. (Courtesy Photo)
