    Before the sun rose on November 25 seven students competed in the district livestock judging contest at NCTA in Curtis, NE. The students included: Laura Rundback, Kelsie Skelton, Breann Maris, Sheyla Christner, Jenae Bischoff, Rebecca Strand, and Bethany Riener. Also Blair Dixon, Cody Fanning, and Donna Schluckebier helped Mr. Andrews with tabulations.
    As individuals Kelsie Skelton placed 7th, Laura Rundback 9th, Breann Maris 24th, Sheyla Christner 37th, Rebecca Strand 53rd, Jenae Bischoff 66th, and Bethany Riener placed 140th in the junior division.
    As a team, Kelsie Skelton, Laura Rundback, Breann Maris and Sheyla Christner placed 1st, Rebecca Strand, Jenae Bischoff and Bethany Riener placed 27th.
    In the contest there were 196 people that competed and there were also 56 teams.
    The first place team of Laura Rundback, Kelsie Skelton, Breann Maris, and Sheyla Christner qualified for state. They will be competing in Lincoln at State FFA April 2, 2009.
