For the third year running, the Wauneta-Palisade Bronco boys and girls basketball teams both captured the Golden Plains Activities Conference championships. The Bronco boys upended an undefeated Wallace squad Saturday night to repeat as conference champs, while the Bronco girls downed second-seeded Wheatland for repeat, repeat honors. No. 30 Stephanie Padilla and Allison Ellicott savor the moment as they watch their teammates take turns cutting down the nets. The Broncs will now focus on finishing up the regular season strong ahead of subdistricts which begin in mid-February.
